The Answer to My One Ultimate Question

I have been raised up in a Christian home. My parents sang in the choir and when I was a teener, I also had my share. The ten commandments of God was the longest memory verse I had followed by Psalm 23. Surrounding me were uncles and aunties of different faith, and it troubled me. I realized they differ much in a lot of areas as against what i believe in. This brought me my one ultimate question which I felt if it remained unanswered would bug me for the rest of my living days.

The question was, "What is the assurance of my salvation?" In God's perfect timing in my life, He gave me the answer in John 14:6,

"Jesus said, ' I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"

And no better song carried the answer but this one: this old favorite hymn, Blessed Assurance.

Hearing it sang soulfully, my soul is flooded with inner peace. Finally, my soul is at rest!
